John S. Ferrell

John has extensive experience in Strategic Counseling, Patent Opinion and Litigation Analysis, as well as Trademark, Copyright and Trade Secret matters. Distinguished by his demonstrated legal and technical expertise in computer, software and electronics issues, John has served as trusted counsel for many of the world’s premier technology companies. He’s been listed by the Los Angeles Daily Journal as one of California’s top Rainmakers, by San Jose Magazine as one of Silicon Valley's top Legal Eagles, and by San Francisco Magazine as one of Northern California’s top lawyers. John has received an AV® Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell® (a sign that a lawyer is ranked at the highest level of professional excellence). John currently chairs the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Over the past decade, John has presented and spoken about patent and intellectual property issues at both legal and technology business forums around the globe. Additionally, he is a regular guest lecturer at Stanford University and Santa Clara University.
